Getting started
Do I need an account to use the app?
Only if you create groups. People you invite join with just a first name — no account, no download. They can add an account later if they want to use the app on several devices. See joining a group.
What does it cost?
The Free plan costs nothing and includes everything you need — splitting, receipt scanning, Swish settle-up — supported by a single small banner ad. The paid Full plan removes ads and lifts all limits. See plans below.
Which phones and devices does it work on?
Any device with a browser — iPhone, Android, tablet or computer. It's a web app, so there's nothing to install; if you like, add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app.
Which languages does it support?
English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. The app picks your phone's language automatically and you can change it under Account.
Groups & members
How do I invite people to my group?
Share the invite link (Members tab → Copy link or Share), read out the group's 6-character code, or send email invites. You can also pre-add someone by name with the + button and let them claim the membership later. See ways to invite.
Can someone who was added by name take over their membership later?
Yes. When they join through the group's Members tab, they pick their pre-added name and take it over — including the balance that's been tracked for them.
How do I use my membership on another phone?
Open Members → your own name → “Use on another device” and copy your personal link. Open it on the other device and the same membership — expenses, balance and all — follows you. Or connect an account and just sign in anywhere.
How do I leave or delete a group?
Leave from the group's Settings → Leave this group. Admins can delete the whole group (also in Settings) — that removes all its expenses permanently, so the app asks you to confirm.
Who is the admin, and what can admins do?
Whoever created the group is its admin. Admins can rename the group, edit any expense, manage members, reset balances, and switch on extras like Fun mode or letting members decline a share.
Expenses & splitting
How does receipt scanning work?
Snap or upload a photo of the receipt and the app reads the total — and the line items — so you can split by item without typing. Always glance at the amount before saving. See scanning.
In what ways can I split an expense?
Three ways: equally between the people involved, by exact amounts you type yourself, or item by item — tag each line on the receipt to whoever had it, with weighted shares (“two beers for Erik”) supported. See splitting.
Can I add an expense in a different currency?
On the Full plan, yes — log a cost in any currency and it's converted to the group's currency automatically using European Central Bank rates. The original amount stays visible on the expense.
Can I edit or delete an expense afterwards?
You can edit or delete your own expenses; admins can edit anyone's. Open the expense and tap Edit or Delete.
What if an expense includes a share that isn't mine?
If the group has “Let members decline a share” switched on (Settings), open the expense and tap Not mine on your share — your part is redistributed among the others and the person who added it can see you opted out.
Can I get the numbers out of the app?
Yes — export the group's expenses as a CSV file (Expenses tab → Export) that opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Settling up
How does the app decide who pays who?
The Settle tab computes the fewest payments that square the whole group — so instead of everyone paying everyone, it's usually just one or two transfers. See settling up.
Which payment services are supported?
Swish (Sweden), Vipps (Norway) and MobilePay (Denmark) for the one-tap pay flow — add your number under Account. Any other method works too: the app always shows who to pay and how much, and you mark it settled manually.
Does the app move money itself?
No, never. It opens your payment app with the number and amount pre-filled; the actual payment happens in Swish/Vipps/MobilePay or your bank. The app just keeps score.
Someone owes me and keeps forgetting — what can I do?
Tap Remind next to the debt and they get a friendly notification linking straight to their pay screen. On the Full plan you can also send an ask-to-pay link to people who never joined the app.
Plans & pricing
What's the difference between Free and Full?
Free: 1 group of your own (join as many as you like), 5 expenses per day, all core features including receipt scanning, split by item and CSV export — with one small banner ad. Full: unlimited groups and expenses, multiple currencies, ask-to-pay links, a group photo, and no ads. Full comparison on the home page.
How do I upgrade to Full?
From the Account page in the app — or redeem a code there if you've been given one.
Can I get Full for free?
Yes: share your invite link (it's in Account). When 10 friends sign up through it, you get Full free, for life — and every 10 more earns a Full code you can give away.
What are the ads like on the Free plan?
One small banner at the end of your lists — never pop-ups, never video, never in the middle of what you're doing. Upgrading to Full removes it entirely.
Privacy & data
Who can see my groups and expenses?
Only members of the same group. Nothing is public, and there's no social feed. See the privacy policy for the details.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app under Account → Delete my account. That permanently removes your profile and membership data. You can also delete individual expenses or whole groups at any time.
Troubleshooting
My invite link says it's no longer valid.
The group's code was probably rotated after the link was shared. Ask the person who invited you for a fresh link — or type the current 6-character code into the code field on the join screen.
I got a new phone and my group is gone.
If you joined without an account, your membership lived on the old device. Open your personal link (Members → your name → “Use on another device”) from the old phone if you still have it — or ask a group admin to re-invite you and take over your old member name. To avoid this next time, connect an account.
I don't get notifications on my iPhone.
iPhone only delivers web push to apps installed on the home screen. Install the app first, open it from the home-screen icon, then enable notifications in Settings.
The receipt scanner missed some items.
Make sure the photo is sharp, flat and well-lit — and that the whole receipt is in frame. You can always add or correct items by hand afterwards; the photo stays attached to the expense either way.
My question isn't here.
